Masala Desi Cafe is an absolute gem! We definitely over-ordered, but it was worth every bite. We tried the chicken tikka masala, masala dosa, garlic naan, butter chicken, and idli. Every single dish was incredibly delicious and bursting with flavor. The chicken tikka masala and butter chicken were perfectly cooked and the sauces were rich and creamy. The masala dosa was crispy and packed with flavor, and the idli was soft and light. The garlic naan was the perfect accompaniment to soak up all the amazing sauces. To top it all off, we got a free masala chai with our Yelp check-in, which was a delightful bonus! The outdoor seating was beautiful on a hot Burlingame day. The staff was super friendly and made us feel right at home. Their excellent service combined with the outstanding food made for a fantastic dining experience. Really good food but a step below what I was wanting in terms of flavor and spice. Everything was of good quality but it just didn't have that kick I'm looking for when I get Indian food. It's convenient and definitely good, but not a place I'll be specifically trying to go to the next time I'm in town.

Loved this place!! We did not dine in so cannot speak to the ambiance or service, but the food was phenomenal and very thoughtfully packaged. Tried the spring dosa, the tandoori chicken, and the chai, and they were all fantastic. They packed all the hot stuff in non-plastic containers. The flavor on the tandoor-baked chicken was mouthwatering. The meat was juicy and tender. The spring dosa was generously loaded with well-seasoned veggies, rolled in a tasty soft dosa. Chai was very flavorful, and had a cardamom-forward taste. Cannot wait to try more things and dine in!
